We take great pride in helping each and every young man in the program achieve their athletic goals, to strengthen character through hard work and build confidence through continued success. Last season saw achievement on the field with numerous championships at nearly all age levels. This year we expect more of the same. The success we have will once again be built around our winter workout training and continued support of coaches and staff.
Since our inception in 2004, Top Tier has enjoyed tremendous success, statewide and nationally. Our 17-under teams won back-to-back CABA World Series championships (2009, 2010), while our 18-under teams has claimed eight consecutive Illinois state championships. Through the years, we’ve watched more than 150 players move on to play baseball in college, and 34 players drafted and three major-leaguers, Michael Bowden, John Ely, and Joe Benson. Also, last season we had the 2011 USA Baseball National Team trial member Ryan Koziol, and 2011 PG All-American Jason Goldstein, in our program.
Last year, our youth program enjoyed enormous success at all levels. Some highlights include: our 11U team captured the 2011 CABA World Series championship, went undefeated in the MSBL, and finished with a 55-3 overall record. The 13U team won the CABA Illinois state championship, finished with a No. 1-ranking in the USSSA coaches’ poll, and amassed a 64-5 overall record. Overall, the youth program finished with a combined 307-100-7 record. Our overall record is a reflection upon all the hard work and dedication that takes place over the fall and winter months.
The goal of Top Tier is to build confidence and provide players with a platform to play at an advanced level. We strive for greatness and this idea has allowed for a tradition of baseball excellence to be built for the past 7 seasons. We will continue with this motto and plan on having another tremendous year.
