Jack Czeszewski, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP, has verbally committed to IllinoisStateUniversity. Czeszewski is currently ranked No. 11 overall in the Class of 2012 and is the top outfield prospect in the junior class.

Czeszewski is a hard-nosed player who impressed at the Super 60 Pro Showcase in February by running a 6.78 60. Czeszewski also has a quick, compact line-drive swing from the left side and is a top-level defensive outfielder. Czeszewski was an impact player at St. Viator HS as a sophomore last year.

Ryan Borucki, 6-foot-3, 165-pound left-hander from Mundelein HS, has verbally committed to the University of Iowa. Borucki, who’s ranked No. 16 in the Class of 2012, is one of the state’s most projectable talents.

Blessed with a quick, loose arm and a long, wiry frame, Borucki catapulted up the rankings in the offseason when he showed 85-88 mph velocity at the Super 60 Pro Showcase. He also has excellent feel for a changeup and curveball. Borucki, who’s 3-0 this season, is a big reason why unbeaten Mundelein is currently ranked No. 2 in the state. With Borucki off the board, eight of the top 20 ranked junior prospects in the state are now verbally committed.
