Top Tier is proud to announce that David Grewe will be a guest speaker for this year’s winter banquet. Grewe is an accomplished collegiate coach that has worked with some of the top players and programs in the country.
David Grewe most recently served as the Associate Head baseball coach at Lousianna State University. While there, Grewe led LSU to an NCAA National Championship in 2009, and 2 straight SEC tournaments championships '09-'10. As the recruiting coordinator, he was responsible for 3 consecutive Top-7 recruiting classes in country, including #1 ranked class in 2010. Further, as the pitching coach he worked with 7 pitchers who went on to play professional baseball - including a supplemental 1st rounder in 2010.
Prior to taking over at LSU Grewe was named head baseball coach at Michigan State University. At age 29, he was one of the youngest Division 1 head coaches in the nation. MSU's 2008 recruiting class was named tops in the Big 10 by Baseball America magazine.
Grewe’s experience additionally included time at the University of Notre Dame. Grewe served as recruiting coordinator for the Fighting Irish and was instrumental in attracting two top-10 recruiting classes to Notre Dame with the 2004 class being ranked number six in the country by Baseball America. The Irish won three straight Big East championships and went to three straight NCAA regionals during Grewe's tenure. In addition to his position as recruiting coordinator, Grewe worked with the catchers and hitters.
Currently Grew works as the CEO for PMLegacy (Potential Meets Legacy). Grew is an inspirational speaker and mentor.
The Top Tier Winter Banquet will take place Saturday, March 3rd at the William Tell Hotel in Countryside. The night will feature an open bar, dinner, guest speakers, and a silent auction. The night is open to all Top Tier players, parents, family members, and friends.
