Jon Surber, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed pitcher from Lisle HS, has made his college choice, as he verbally committed to Clemson University on Tuesday night.
Surber missed a large chunk of his junior season after injuring his knee sliding into home plate. But he came back in late June pumping 87-90 mph with a sharp slider and quickly became one of the hottest prospects in the country.
