Off the board: Walsh, Biagini Commit

Dan Walsh, a 6-foot-1 left-handed hitting SS from Downers Grove South, has committed to Miami of Ohio. Walsh enjoyed a big summer in which he helped lead the Mustangs to the final four of the IHSBCA summer state tournament. He was equally impressive in the spring, as he batted .405 with 35 RBI, 8 doubles and 3 homers while playing a stellar defensive shortstop.

Dominic Biagini, a 6-foot-1 left-handed hitting OF/1B from Hersey HS, has committed to Western Illinois University. After missingover the summer, and reaffirmed his position in the fall, as he was clearly the top hitter during the Fall Prospect Program. A 6.95 runner, Biagini has an extremely quick bat and demonstrated considerable pull power.
