Through 37 games the Kansas State baseball team is off to a 27-10 start. Leading the way is 2008 Top Tier alum Kyle Hunter of Galesburg. Hunter is 7-0 in 10 starts, with a 3.59 ERA. He has thrown 52.2 innings allowing only 47 hits with 30 strikeouts.
Freshman Tanner Witt (2009 TT Alum) has served as a key reserve on the Wildcat infield. Witt has played in 22 games starting 12. Witt has 9 hits in 39 at bats with 9 RBI and 9 walks.
The Kansas State program will welcome a third Top Tier player in 2011 as first baseman/pitcher Shane Conlon will join Hunter and Witt next year in Manhattan.
