Mississippi State first baseman Connor Powers has been named a finalist for the 2010 Cellular South Ferriss Trophy. Each year the Ferriss Trophy honors the top collegiate baseball in Mississippi. Powers a senior from Benet Academy is hitting .380 with 15 home runs and an SEC-leading 66 RBI. He is currently rated the 7th best first baseman in rivals.com national power rankings.
