Shane Conlon of Naperville Central HS was named 2010 Chicago- Area Player of the Year yesterday by the Chicago Tribune. This spring Conlon lead the Redhawks to the 4A State Title, topping St. Rita in the championship game 10-4. Conlon, the winning pitcher in the state championship game, went 12-0 on the mound with a 1.45 ERA, amassing 122 K’s in 82 innings walking only 12. Shane also hit .430 with 20 extra base hits.
