Top Tier RHP Tyler Farrell from Galesburg HS committed last week to Western Illinois University. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound right hander pitched for both the 17U Americans and Nationals this past summer. Farrell, Prep Baseball Report’s 61st ranked prospect in the class of 2011 was one of the biggest risers his class this summer as his velocity skiped into the upper 80s and low 90s. Farrell is the third player in Top Tier’s 2011 Class to commit joining Jeremy Scheck (Clemson) and John Kravetz (Illinois).
