Kansas State Freshman, and Top Tier alum Shane Conlon was named Illinois Player of the Year by Louisville Slugger. Conlon lead Naperville Central to the 4A State Title, topping St. Rita in the championship game 10-4. Conlon, the winning pitcher in the state championship game, went 12-0 on the mound with a 1.45 ERA, amassing 122 K’s in 82 innings walking only 12. Shane also hit .430 with 20 extra base hits.
